From a young age, Samuel was obsessed with juggling and play. He later discovered physical theatre, which brought him to work extensively with Norman Taylor and then study at Ecole Lassaad in Belgium. He underwent further training at Ecole Philippe Gualier in Paris.
He holds a practice-based PhD in the Arts, focusing on the work of Jacques Lecoq. He is currenly the director of Clowns without Borders Ireland, and lives between Portugal and Ireland.
